• Focuses on artist by keeping all attention on him and having on the artist in the shot, nothing else more than a white background.

• The music video uses slow transitions which speed up as the video progresses

• Covered in lots of make-up.

• Uses his appearance to suit and reflect the song.

• Exaggerates being out of the 'norm'.

Purpose

• Conveys the artist's emotions and feelings through the song.

• The first close up on his face showing his unusual appearance.

Style of Video

• Attempts to reinforce general stereotypes of women, except the fact that they are males dressed as women.

• Uses the idea of going outside into another 'world' where they are free.

• Artists are positioned in the centre of most shots with the focus on them.

• Artists are dressed as women as well as performing in other shots, shows them as being the centre of the video.

• Presents the artists as not being afraid to do what they want to be 'free' as shown by them dressing up as the opposite gender.

Purpose

• Its purpose it to emphasise the artists thoughts, opinions and emotions by him doing what he wants to do in the video to then return back to the house at the end, showing that its was all an imagined hope - emphasising his emotions.

• Seeing them dressed as women as it took me by surprise.

• Cross-cutting allows the audience to see the actors and singer in the past and the present.

• Progressive narrative that tells a story.

• Conform to the typical view of a rock band.

• The singer fills the words with emotion giving the song feeling and perspective.

• Shows the band as well as intertwining a storyline to it.

Purpose

• Convey the emotions and regrets of the artist.

Wow Factor

• Grabbing the fake woman that disappears toward the end of the clip.
